Nestled within the Dartmoor National Park our flocks of pedigree registered Devon & Cornwall Longwool, Whiteface Dartmoor, Greyface Dartmoor & Devon Closewool sheep enjoy a truly magical home with a river bordered woodland, steep wild inclines & huge areas of moorland grazing. This landscape provides them with everything they need; fresh natural water, woodland for shade, shelter & forage, some tougher terrain for exercise and ample grass & roots to fatten up on in the vast moorland meadows.
We adopt a sensitive sustainable farming approach to create a farm supportive of nature & to encourage greater biodiversity. Our flocks assist in the conservation of the land & are grass & wild forage fed. Being native breeds to the area they are well acclimatised to the landscape here on Dartmoor.
Our flocks have been carefully chosen & are lovingly shepherded by Stephen to ensure all their needs are catered for. The Ena Bre Flock captures the hearts of many visitors with their friendly, inquisitive, placid natures. Stephen has long been passionate about keeping these wonderful local breeds in existence & to demonstrate they can still be a very viable alternative to the more commercial sheep.
Our products aim to showcase the true qualities of these rare breeds by raising high welfare, wild forage fed, rare breed hogget & producing luxurious sheepskins, accessories & gifts.
